Established in the year 1991, the Department offers B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in Environmental Science as a commitment to higher education to rural youth. These programs cover major aspects of Environment including Water, Air, Soil and Noise pollution; their control technology; effects of pollution on ecosystem and management of Environment etc. These programs are designed to provide orientation towards Environmental problems and issues as well as in-depth training and imparting skills in the various areas pertaining to Environmental Science. The department has made an impressive progress in building up the infrastructure and in conducting teaching and research programs since its formation.
